It's that time of the week again... where I give you an update on what I've been listening to. Like I've said in the past, music is one of the things that I enjoy most in life, so here's what I've been loving lately.

Well I'm back everyone, can you believe it?
Here's a quick update on whats been going in my life and why I needed a Hiatus. I've just finished my first year of grad school and while that doesn't seem like it would be a lot... it has been. Also, Suzanne is starting off on her own adventure at the end of this month, but I won't spoil any of that for you all!

Anyways, back to what today's post is all about.... Dry Shampoo!

I am so excited to be starting up "Music Mondays" on the blog!

So starting today, every monday I'm going to be giving you your daily dose of music, new & old, that I'm currently loving.

I have to be honest I love just about every type of music so I'm sure that you'll find something you like! I'm going to try and post video links to the songs, if they are available. Alright enough of the chatter Jackie... get onto the music!

Holiday!!!

Holiday is by far my favorite word that British people use. I could say it all day long "holiday...holiday...holiday..." Not only does it just roll off the tongue, but its the word they use for vacations! Who doesn't love a good a vacation?! Recently me and my family went on a vacay to the greatest place on earth.

Wowerz! I can not believe that May has ended and June is already underway! Well whenever a month comes to a close, Jackie and I will be letting y'all in on the things we were loving that month.

We're Back!

I can't believe its been over a year since we started our blog!

I know we took a while off but we had some major things starting and ending for both of us. Suzanne was finishing up high school and I was finishing up my last year of college.

We both have felt really horrible for neglecting our wonderful blog and our followers that we thought we would start something really exciting....

The Summer Bun + exciting news!

Hi to all my faithful readers. I know its been real touch and go lately but I have exciting news! I'm MOVING! So with graduation, summer school, work and now getting the condo ready, blog posts had been put on hold. But now that I've had some free time I'm able to get back to you guys [thanks for putting up with our lack of posts] 

I'm going to put up a REALLY BIG post about Gemmy [my newly renovated condo] so be looking out for that. So exciting, I cant believe its almost finished! Anyway... moving on to the hair tutorial! 

A Sweet Pink Mani.

Hi all my lovelies! I know its been a while but the Hiatus is over! YAY! I hope all of your Easter's were as amazing as mine was. I spent some qaulity time with the family and per usual it was entertaining to say the least. I don't know about you guys, but one of the many things I love about Easter is seeing all the spring colors make their appearance boldly. [Even the guys are wearing their pastel's of purple, yellows and pink!]

Here where I live, it already feels like summer. I'm already exhausted by the heat some days! But today I have a pretty simple yet sweet manicure idea that will keep you in the spring mood, regardless of the weather around you.

You guys should know that by now I get my nails done, professionally, but I did pick out the colors and tested the idea of layering. My lady was a little hesitant at first, but it turned out really cute! [cute by accident]

So for the main coat, I used Sweet Heart by OPI. You will need probably two coats [medium thickness] to get it opaque. Then on alternating nails I used ONE COAT of Pink Before You Fall by OPI. Then finish up with a nice top coat and you're done! The subtle difference between the sparkle pink and glossy pink is so perfect for a simple unique manicure.

Thursday I'll be posting a hair tutorial for all you girls who are looking for an easy way to get your hair up and out of the way, so be checking back for that!

Study Dates and Productive Tuesdays

Hi lovelies, I have to tell you that I have really missed all of you! I haven't forgotten about you but life has been so busy that I barely have any free time!

I've been really proud of myself today, I was actually really productive. I had the chance to be lazy and not do anything but I actually got lots of work done [yay!] 

Since I became a TA at my school I have been SUPER crazy busy, but I have to admit I really like it. So tonight Suzie, K and I went to the library and had a little study date. I really needed to get work done because next week is spring break!! [thank you Lord.]

Ok guys... I know we've been MIA for a while now... but I can promise you that I'm going to get back in the swing of things! Suzie and I have been packed with school, volunteering, TA-ing, church, etc. But we haven't forgotton about you lovelies. So can you pweety pwease forgive me? ....

The Braided Up-do (& no heat!)

Hi my lovelies! Its been a little while since I've posted a hair tutorial so I thought why not today?! [since I finally have time... I hate school]. Over 2 months ago I posted about a no-heat braided updo. I literally learned how to do this hairstyle about 30 minutes before I actually tried it out. Now I don't recommend to do that at all.. but I was feeling adventurous that day. I needed a quick hairstyle that looked like it took a long time yet didn't require me to dry my [very long and thick] hair. Anyone remember that post? Here's a picture to remind you!

Lazy Sunday + TBBC update!

Happy sunday everyone! I came home early this week and both of my kitties were laying together on my bed and I had to take some cute pictures with them. As always Middie loved every min. of it and Knight well... the picture speaks for itself. [They are loving lazy Sunday's] Anyways I've been so lazy today as always, so I thought i'd be productive and put up a post.

So this is my second post about my big/little gifts! This by far is one of the cutest projects I have done and one of the easiest!

HALLOWS' EVE

It's that time in the year when the fall breeze starts rolling in and the leaves beign to fall off the trees. In the spirit of Halloween I decided to make a pumpkin. I can't remember a memory in my childhood of making a pumpkin and my family doesn't do it every year. Sooo this Halloween I insisted that I carve a pumpkin. :)

Big/Little Gifts [part 1]

So at the campus organization I'm involved in, we have what's called "Adopt a freshmen"... but it always reminded me of the Greek "Big/Little" idea. An upperclassmen gets a freshmen and we become like a mentor to them and spend time getting to know them and really develop a friendship.

Being a senior this year, I really appreciate having the opportunity to connect to some of the freshmen this way because otherwise I honestly probably wouldn't. Not because I don't love the freshmen [actually I'm kinda jealous of them... they are just starting such an amazing experience] but simply just because senior year is CRAZY BUSY!

Anyways! When I found out who my little was [and yes i will refer to her as that!]... I was OVERJOYED! Honestly, she's the best. So because I was so excited, I wanted to make her gifts... [because if I was a little I would want gifts.. and who doesn't love gifts?!] 

So [PART one] of the gifts I made her was this crafty Chalkboard Mason Jar. She loves the color coral so I found the color closest to coral and went for it! I saw the idea for spray painting the mason jars on Pinterest and went from there. So it's super easy and honestly not that expensive!
